Second week of Advent... The candle of Peace.
Today we celebrated the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary with Bishop Gorman. We honor Mary and her special role as the Mother of Jesus. We thank God for the special grace he gave Mary.
On this Second Sunday of Advent, we are called to prepare the way for the second coming of Jesus. In the gospel, we see John the Baptist appearing as a messenger calling for repentance and readiness.
