Julio is a professional visual artist and art educator who teaches at St. Joseph Catholic School in Arlington, TX. In addition to his teaching, Mr. Suarez is a teaching artist for children and youth of all levels throughout the Metroplex through his affiliation with Big Thought, Young Audiences of Northeast Texas, the Navarro Council of the Arts, Plano Parks and Recreation Therapeutic Programming and SMU Summer Youth Program. Suarez began his teaching career in 1986 teaching English, Communication Arts and Film and Television at Iona Prep in New Rochelle, New York. His personal artwork, primarily watercolor and acrylic paintings, has been exhibited in galleries throughout the Dallas and Fort Worth area and his paintings are a part of private collections throughout the United States, Canada, China and Japan. He is a graduate of New York University with postgraduate studies at Fordham University and Colin College.
