Each summer, St. Gregory School encourages a love of reading and continued learning by assigning two books for each elementary student to read over the break. This annual summer reading initiative is designed to help students maintain their literacy skills, foster critical thinking, and inspire a lifelong habit of reading.

The selected books are age-appropriate, engaging, and often tied to themes that will be explored during the upcoming school year. In addition to reading the books, students may be asked to complete a short assignment or reflection when they return to school, which helps them process the material and allows for classroom discussion.
