St. Gregory Gala

Sponsorship Informational Brochure

The St. Gregory Gala and Casino Night is one of the two major fundraisers organized by the PTO to support St. Gregory. This year’s event, will end Catholic Schools Week on March 1, 2014 from 7:00-11:00 pm at the Tyler Rose Garden. followed by an evening of food, drinks, Hearts and Hands bidding, and games of chance. Proceeds from this event help fund special projects which have previously included a new school bus, computers, science equipment, cafeteria tables, musical instruments and more.

The Gala will serve as a backdrop to the second annual Serviam Presentation and will also be held on February 2 at 10:00 am in the Rose Garden.  All students in second grade will be honored in the formal Serviam (I Will Serve) Presentation. Having reached the age of reason, that time in life at which persons are deemed to be morally responsible, St. Gregory’s young cherubs will make a pledge to live in the spirit of service begun by Sr. Mary Theresa of Jesus, foundress of the School Sisters of Notre Dame. (The School Sisters of Notre Dame opened St. Gregory in 1946 and staffed our school for several decades.) Students receive a Serviam pin as a symbol of their commitment to Christian Service.

Hearts and Hands are student created projects associated with the Gala and Casino Night. Each classroom completes a group project or craft which is placed up for bid at the Gala.
