26th Annual St. Gregory Fun Run

Celebrating its 26th year, the St. Gregory Fun Run is an exciting community event for all ages. The Fun Run will move to the fall for its 26th Anniversary run scheduled for September 22, 2012. The route will take hundreds of trekkers through the historic Azalea District and be followed with an old fashioned Carnival on the campus featuring games, face painting, the Fun Run’s famous hot dogs, brisket tacos and more.

We invite runners and walkers of all levels to participate in the 5K or 1 mile races. Budding young track stars can sprint to the finish in the Kids’ Dash, which is a favorite of spectators. This annual event promotes health and fitness, and raises funds for St. Gregory Cathedral School, the only twice named U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon school in East Texas. In previous years, proceeds have been used to help purchase a school bus, computers, science equipment, musical instruments and more.

The success of the Fun Run depends on financial contributions from individuals and local businesses, and time donated by many hard-working volunteers. Please accept this invitation to join us in the celebration of the 26th Anniversary St. Gregory Fun Run as a sponsor of this exciting event.
