Dear Boys and Girls,
Welcome to third grade! To be an excellent reader, you need to read
on a regular basis. We have enclosed a
list of books that we suggest you try reading this summer. You are required to read one book, but we
hope you will read many more.
The book Muggie
Maggie by Beverly Cleary is required reading for all students entering
the third grade in the fall. We will
spend the first few days of Reading class reviewing the book through a variety
of enrichment activities. Grades will be taken over this novel study.
You may purchase the book at
any bookstore. Have a wonderful summer
